Since it is currently extremely impractical to faithfully scan and store real-world environments, capturing and restoring of an AR experience is practically impossible. ViewAR SDK offers a compromise in the way of freeze frames.
AR camera supports freezing and unfreezing of the view. While frozen, camera feed and pose no longer update as the user moves the device around. This allows for easy saving and loading of particular scene angles for later use as a freeze frame. These freeze frames can be switched between while preserving the spatial relations between scene objects as expected. They can also be uploaded to the cloud storage and shared between users of the app.
